Who ever hears about Y2K anymore?! Just 4 years ago I can distinctly remember countless mathmaticians and computer freaks announcing the year 2000 as the year of imminent doom. I'm beginning to think it was all a government conspiracy to inspire the economy and raise funding. Think about it, some genious said "whoa, my computer from the 80's might not show the year 2000 and instead show '00'". Then it was some media giant that decided "hey this phenomenon might mess up a few programs that calculate based on time." After a few more of these braniacs sat down together I am sure one of them said "lets turn this might into a maybe, then charge money for our correction services, while encoraging consumers to stock up on weapons, canned foods, and toilet paper". See, it was far too easy for someone to make this connection 4 years ago, and now millions of people wasted money and time for a might that turned into a maybe.
